Technical assessment commissioned by Cornellà de Llobregat City Council to carry out the structural diagnosis of the ceramic slab forming the entrance porch of CEIP Sant Miquel. The inspection identified an advanced state of deterioration, including widespread reinforcement corrosion and loss of structural section in several joists, making the immediate implementation of precautionary measures through the full shoring of the structure necessary.
The commission included the construction assessment of the ceramic slab, the evaluation of its load-bearing capacity, the analysis of its structural behaviour based on historical design standards and specialised technical references, and the definition of the intervention criteria required to ensure the safety, stability, and long-term durability of the structure prior to the preparation of the structural consolidation project.
