The project provides for the complete removal of the asbestos-containing fibre-cement roof at the La Mercè Market by a specialised contractor, ensuring full regulatory compliance in waste management. It proposes a new lightweight metal roof with thermal insulation and improved watertightness, reducing the weight compared to the original roof and preparing the structure for the planned photovoltaic installation. The scope of works covers approximately 2,035 m². In collaboration with the engineering firm Esitec. Original project by Josep Anglada, Daniel Gelabert and José Ribas, from 1961.
